Health education programme-Shilpa Children’s Development Centre
It was another unforgettable day of my clerkship programme.
Although there are lot of interesting visits, that day I have to play as a
teacher. Usually we are doing health education programme in school. Bt, due to midyear
school vacation, we had to do it in an orphanage of female children. Bt it was
really great experience than we thought.
Bt THE THING is we had to wear a saree for that event. Of
course, it looked gorgeous with sarees,
bt it took so long to wear them L
We reached there a 9 o’clock in
the morning & were warmly welcome by the staff& the children of that
orphanage.
We got prepared for this
event, since 2 days. First we divided ourselves into 4 groups. We had to arrange
a lesson appropriate to age group between 15-17 yrs. So we decide to do on
‘FIRST AID ‘
First we introduced
ourselves & then we asked questions from them to identify their knowledge
about fist aids. At the beginning they didn’t care about much, but when we
proceeding, they got friendly with us & it became a successful discussion.
In our discussion we paid more attention to improve there knowledge about
·
What is first aid
·
Who can give it
·
What are the occasions we need first aid
·
Importance of giving first aid……… etc
We discussed about the first aids of
·
Laceration, abrasion & cut injury
·
Burns
·
Dental subluxation
·
Cat & dog bites
·
Snake bites
·
Faintishness
·
Fever………………… etc.
At the end of discussion
they became so fond of us,& they took pictures with us & finally, they
did a vote of thank too.
It was really great
experience for me & I was really satisfy with this work. Thank should go to
our COM MED DEPARTMENT, who guided us to do this level. J
