                       Duties Towards Humanity
It’s Friday, 17th of august, and schedule said that it’s the time to visit IDH Base Hospital at Angoda. Honestly even if IDH is known place by name, heard from News few years ago by the time of SARS epidemic, there is no idea of what it truly is.

It resembles ancient English architecture, with long corridors, arches, and full of free space which we cannot see in usual base hospital.
A metron, was a really pleasent fellow, who welcomed us with sweet smile. she talked with us alot.

She shared her own experience with us which makes us to feel what a sacrifice a one can do for other peoples’ sufferings.

According to her story last Cholera Patient was reported in 1997, there after no much attention was paid to this place until 2001when SARS reported from China. That is the time where she explained how she face challenges, for the sake of humanity.she was proud, of what she and her staff done, with risking their lives. She believes that nature will lookafter us in return, if we give love to nature. This nature contains of human, animals and environment.

Then we went to see the hospital premises. It's lovely. It has nice quite and calm environment, we experience good ventilation as same as which she mentioned. We saw long corridors. This old english archietectural patterns remind me of stories which i read in school days, and watched in TV about english rulers, how people face to the smallpox epidemic at that time.

We were amazed when we saw the isolation rooms used to prevention of spreading and secure others health. The kit they use to wear is bit funny, but well covered and safe.

Consultant also talked with us, he had full of stories about HIV patients. We feel as he has devoted his life for those people. We feel empathy for them, when he mentioned that those people are refused by the community, now they like to stay with people who face the same circumstances. HIV patients kept in separate ward. It enables them to share their feelings, get proper recognition which they lack from society, build their own little community. I feel like, we should have some kind of programme for community about this matter, change their attitudes to treat each and every patient as their own mother and father.

Actually i feel if we can light others lives, make them feel happy even for one second we have fullfil our duty towards mother nature. IDH and it's staff is excellent example for it!!
