Today we visited to KASH garment-Papiliyana. It is situated close to papiliyana junction.After entering first I saw small but nice garden. I think it is important to psychological releave of occupants.Then our PHI showed sick room and general register. Sick room composed of 2 beds and primary medi equipments.Sick room is close to main gate. I think it is important in emergency situation.Acording to the general register needle prick injurries are the most common type of injury.
KASH garment coposed of stores , cutting, sewing, and finishing sections. First we entered to stores section. Cloths, buttons, needles and other raw materials store in this section. Some chemicals also store. they specially note down those things.
while I entering to factory heared a nice background music. light level was good but ventilation not innough in this section.
Then we entered to cutting section. Materials sent to cutting section by electric lift.It is maintain by trainy occupant.At the cutting section I saw occupants work by wearing glouse and cloths. Light and ventilation leel is innough in this area.
Then we came to sweing section. several workers were there. dangerous parts of the machine covered by metals.
Light and ventilation level was satisfied.Electric fans were there.There was a first aid box in this section. But unfortunately it was empty .
workers were busy . because their salary depend on how much they work
Finaly we came to finishing and packing sections. All four sections had fire alarms and fire control gas cylinders. (CO2) Those are important in emergency fire. But I don't know are those work or not.Apart from that each section had arrows on the flooor. Those are directed to emergency exits. further I saw evacuation plans showes in each section.
Finaly we came back..... with a nice experiance.
